Victoria Lockwood is my go-to vanilla sim. This time around, we are doing the OWBC Challenge.
First off she starts off in Oasis Springs, but soon after dumps her lot and moves to Forgotten Hollow.
We will get into her bonuses as we go along. I’m still not sure at this point which ones since each pack only has 1 or 2 things I am interested in doing.
Victoria is a Clumsy, Gloomy Snob with domestic undertones. She wants to start a Vampire Family
Vampires (9 points total)
-One sim per generation (founder + subsequent generations) must be turned into a vampire (vampires must be turned in game or born to a previous heir, they cannot be made in CAS). The vampire has to have at least 3 rewards per tier level (unless they conflict). (3 Points)
-Each vampire must complete a vampire aspiration, and all three vampire aspirations need to be done by end of challenge (choose one to do twice). (3 Points)
-Vampire sim must turn 5 sims outside the family. (3 Points)
While I figure out what else she is going to do, Victoria heads to the library to learn about Vampires and she has to critique a painting.
Oh and they can only eat Grilled Cheese, which will be interesting for our vampires.
Victoria: It’s awfully bright here. I don’t think I like it.
Victoria: Yeah, this is more my speed. Let’s move here instead.
Victoria: So, how long until I can ask him to turn me?
You need to be really good friends first, so be nice.
After beating him at chess, she convinced him to chat for a bit and then stargaze.
Nothing makes friends faster this early in a game.
She’s gloomy so she complains a lot.
First flirt was accepted.
Aren’t they cute in their color coordinated undies.
Oh, meet Lydia. Her and Victoria are doing a bit of roughhousing.
She’s also learning to speak.
She’s a white wolf and part of ..
Cats & Dogs (9 points total)
Create a dog with your founder, and each heir must have their own pet as a companion (either by breeding the original pet or by adopting a new pet), and do the following:
-Teach all commands (only dogs can be trained – cats can be owned, but only dogs count for the bonus) (3 Points)
-Train out all behaviours. (3 Points)
-Run a vet clinic (the vet clinic must be established by the founder and owned through the entire challenge). (3 Points)
I’m not sure how hard this will be because we are also doing…
Get To Work (9 points total)
-Have someone in your family max each of the Get To Work Careers (Scientist, Doctor, Detective). You must “join them” at work at least 50% of the time. (3 Points)
-Have any sim max a retail business at some point in the challenge. (3 Points)
-Discover 10 aliens in disguise (3 Points)
Since I have decided NOT to do the Matriarchy, I am thinking I will have the Spouses do the Get to Work stuff and have the Founder/Heir do the vet clinic, one of my most favorite things to do.
I guess I can buy a lot next door and sell pet supplies for a business. Let’s just hope I haven’t bitten off more than me and my sims can chew.
Mini Challenges were easy to pick out, but I’m not saying they all will get done.
BoolProp Naming Scheme (10 Points)
Naming the first generation’s three children names that start with B, O and O. The second generation’s children would be given names that start with L, P and R. The third generation’s children would be given names that start with O, P and N (for .net, of course!). If twins are born they count as one letter, tough bananas! Name them both with the letter the one child would have been assigned and then you must have another child. So if I had my first generation heir have a boy that I named Larry, then a set of twins I would name them Peter and Paula, because they only count for one letter, I would then have to have them try for another baby to get a Rachel. Additional children born/adopted whether intentionally or accidentally are considered outside the naming scheme and can be named whatever you want.
One Bad Apple (10 Points)
Every generation one of your children will just plain be a bad apple. You get to choose which child it is at birth. Once chosen you cannot change it. A bad apple cannot be controlled until adulthood. You can not select your bad apple until they are a teen. You may not view their needs or skills, you may not view anything that you cannot already see with all of the interface fully collapsed. As a child and teen you cannot control them at all. Once an adult they must live by Simself rules as before stated in the SimSelf Mania mini-challenge. At this point you may also just move them out so they can be controlled by story progression. Having the Bad Apple be taken by a social worker or die before reaching adulthood causes you to lose this mini-challenge. You may purchase aspiration rewards that your Bad Apple has rightfully earned. Bonus bonus points if your bad apple earns negative character traits!
The Golden Trio (10 Points)
A generation of your choice must give birth to triplets. You may name each of the babies after a different letter in the naming scheme if you go for this, you are also exempt from the three pregnancy rule that generation. Additional trio rules apply. You must have each triplet max three skills of your choosing as a child, make three best friends (outside of the family), and complete the golden trio of getting an A in elementary and high school and reaching the top of their teen career as a teen. They must also each earn at least three positive character value if you have Parenthood installed. Trio = three. And no negative values. Additional children may be born after the triplets, the trio rules do not apply to them.
Beyond Cheesy (10 Points)
Your Sims may only ever, ever, ever eat grilled cheese. They may drink any liquid they want,
but if it’s food it has to only be Grilled Cheese! Anyone in the household eating anything else makes you lose this mini-challenge. Otherwise, morning, noon and night your Sims will eat, breathe and live the glory and wonder and majesty of grilled cheese. Whether they like it or not. Bonus bonus points if they achieve the hidden Grilled Cheese aspiration!
BoolProp Clubhouse (10 Points)
You must build a community lot to be the Boolprop Clubhouse and every sim from the three pregnancies every generation must visit this lot 5 times during their lifetime. The lot must have an army of flamingos outside and any llama deco you can find.
Family Scrapbook (10 Points)
Every member of the family must have either their picture taken, portrait painted (paint from reference) and hung somewhere about the house. You can choose the age or do multiple ages, take group shots or individual pictures, it’s up to you. Your house must contain a picture of everyone that has ever lived in the house by the end of the challenge. Also, each generation, starting with the founder, must write one novel, to keep track of the family’s memories. In total four novels must be written: one by the founder and one by each of the three heirs (first gen, second gen, third gen).
On Ley, Not the Lonely (10 Points)
At the beginning of the challenge you must enable the On Ley Line lot trait, and leave it on for the entire challenge. You must woohoo and give birth on your home lot for the entirety of the challenge. Multiple children will only count as one pregnancy and each generation must still have three pregnancies. Each pregnancy will count as one letter if you are doing the Boolprop Naming Theme mini-challenge. Each child born during the challenge will also need to have at least one character trait (positive or negative) upon finishing their teen years.
Collector (10 Points)
Each generation one sim out of the 3 pregnancies must gather a full collection of anything in the collection tab that has at least 15 items in it. You can choose to do only three, one for each of the generations, or have the founder do one and get an extra 5 points.
SUPER Mini-Challenges – I doubt I will get any of these done, but here’s to trying.
Again take on as many or as few as you like.
Workaholics Anonymous (15 Points)
Top any 10 career tracks with any combination of household members!
Aspirational Family (20 Points)
Complete all aspirations available to you at least once!
Super Collector (20 Points)
Complete all the collections with one sim!
Tricks of the Trade (20 Points)
Max all skills at least once with any combination of household members!
The bonus I’m already guaranteed to get…LOL
The one bonus you can do, regardless:
-For finishing the challenge and posting it to the exchange/your blog/a thread/etc. (3 Points)
I do know that Theresa and simfulicious are working on the rules, so some things may change at any time.
Victoria invites Caleb over and finally got him to turn her.
Victoria: I can’t wait!
Victoria will probably have Caleb move in soon because we really need him to bring some money in as we need to buy three lots. I’m just not sure how much it will be since Lilith will be left behind and I doubt I can move her in just for her money.
